“I stumbled upon this podcast in late 2023 and I have been binging it ever since. I have only have a few episodes left now and I am forcing myself to go slower because I don’t want it to end! Oh PLEASE LET THERE BE A SEASON 4!!!
Alyssa and Hadley are such wonderful hosts. Unlike other podcasts, where the hosts seem to be swayed by any mention of the paranormal, Alyssa and Hadley explore all sides to an event. They don’t denounce or subscribe emotionally to any one theory but present all angels, backed up by their incredible research, compassion, and intelligence. Love the deep dives into the social, historical, and architectural aspects of the homes, areas, and people who lived in them. The RESEARCH! The amount of research in every episode is FANTASTIC!!!!!!
I was very familiar with Grey Gardens and the Black Dahlia Murder, yet those episodes blew me away with the amount of historical information that was uncovered and presented!
I also love that the hosts don’t get side tracked with chit chat and chatter, as other podcasts do, and spend upwards to 10-20 minutes talking about what they had for breakfast or other things that have nothing to do with the podcast.
I highly recommend this podcast to everyone! Especially if you are interested in the paranormal, true crime, history, architecture, and the complexities of human beings in different eras.
Hoping , if possible, to hear an episode in the future covering the history of the beautiful Pickfair Estate in Los Angeles, CA! The original home of Mary Pickford and Douglas Fairbanks which was demolished by Pia Zadora many years later due to hauntings.”
