Great concept…
Love all things spooky and haunted. Mix that with a bit of true crime and it should be a winner. And according to an article I read this was top podcasts of the year. Sadly this didn’t hit for me. There was an excessive amount of ‘like” and ‘Uhmm’ fillers throughout as well as a total disconnect by the hosts to the subjects they spoke about it. For example episode #2 when speaking about a neighbor coming over when said neighbor observed they’re unknown slain farm family not doing their normal routine…at a farm…they couldn’t comprehend that someone would come to over so early, concerned when a farmer wasn’t, well, farming. It was the early 1900’s not 2020. Third episode was all over the place and I was so confused about what actual house they were covering and what made it haunted at all. Still am actually. I will say episodes seemed well researched at least but this one isn’t for me.

More reviews of Dark House
This is one of my favourite podcasts and I listen to a lot. It’s the perfect blend of history/mystery/true crime and architecture and interior design. A unique combination of information. the hosts interview some very knowledgeable and interesting guests.

I tried to muscle through because I enjoyed the content but I had to really focus with all the guttural speaking, “super” and “like”s. It was as if I was listening to 12 year olds gossiping on the...Read full review »
