Too Sensational
From the crime drama granularity to the spy thriller delivery and most annoyingly, the tense and anxious background noises, this series seems overproduced. One can only wish for the homegrown American terror threat to be so minutely detailed and fully investigated. As a German citizen, I am not worried about the investigation, but references to “the stomach“ of the “German character“ trigger my self-hatred. The implication that Germans have no heart is probably not as obvious to most listeners as it is to me. The specter of the German Monster Rising seems too ill concealed. Parallels abound, like “isolated cases” there and “a few bad apples” here. The takeaway? MYOB New York Times and America!

Journalism at its finest. Complex, well-researched, and thorough. I am making my parents, sisters, boyfriend and friends listen. It is incredibly important.
