For anyone looking for a serious and hard hitting crime and justice documentary this will be right up your street. It reminds me just how vast America is and how easy it is for bodies to remain undiscovered for decades. It also reminds me how brutal the American justice system can be. Give it a...Read full review »

I enjoyed the podcast and it kept my interest. But I agree with the others. Stick to the facts, the story was able to hold its own without personal opinion of the narrator. The police need to support and commend the officers who fight to protect the innocent, especially the falsely accused. ...Read full review »

Great theme song, great content! Pointing out injustice and trying to get to the bottom of a serial killer’s true body count.

Well worth a listen if you have an interest in criminal justice, or just human stories. Alex seems to be an honest, sceptical but empathetic interviewer. And the adverts may be annoying but producing this kind of content is far from free. I’ll put up with it and have even supported the sponsors.

Why listen to a podcast describing the struggle & plight of the poor “undocumented migrant”—-ILLEGAL ALIEN—-?? Our agenda driven media gives us this political propaganda on a daily basis. Perhaps, documenting the plight of the tax payer who must pay for the healthcare, education,...Read full review »

Easy to listen to and follow. Enjoyable for the most part.

Season one subject was interesting and drew me into the story but politics eventually burst out when the subject of immigration status became prominent and the “struggle” of being illegal was presented with such sympathy. Season two was the kicker. The political slant I can get from the...Read full review »

Season 1 was good. Season 2 not so much.

Another excellent series, came to this from Dead Man Talking, Battleground has some amazing interviews and really gives an insight into the issues dominating the next US presidential election. Alex is very easy to listen to and producer Pete sums things up well and reflects on the interviews...Read full review »

Really enjoying this new series from the Dead Man Talking team. Insightful and engaging - would highly recommend!

Season 1 tells an interesting story. The writing was good and the narrator compelling. Not the best in the genre, but solid. Season 2 is a political diatribe. I don’t listen to a lot of political podcasts and I’m not going to listen to this one. I’m disappointed you went this way, but I’m going...Read full review »

Leftist propaganda. Political drivel. Do you guys think you’re changing anyone’s mind about how to vote? Dead man talking was excellent. This is trash. Unsubscribed.

Season 1 (Dead Man Talking) was awesome, the new season is purely an attack on the current administration. They didn’t even really try to mask, completely on-sided with the bad orange man stance. Guess this is what we should expect from a podcast company. Should be noted that I’ve only listened...Read full review »

Burned through the entire series. Waiting for updates!!

There is too much going on, talking over others talking on tape recordings. Does not appear to start from the beginning, as if we know the case. To much interjection for me. But others like it. So good luck

Putting aside the fantastic theme tune, the podcast is informative & interesting. Well hosted.

Love this podcast. I heard about it on Nighttime Podcast October of 2018 while driving from Halifax to Toronto. Promptly pulled into a McDonalds to use the WIFI to download it. I hope the next series comes out soon unless I’ve missed it?

For the most part, this podcast has compelling content and I enjoyed it. However, we heard the same sound bite from the taped confession way too many times.... it was over kill. “It was me... I did it....”

Just finished the entire series in just a few sittings. Alex tells a great story, reserving opinion as far as necessary. Unlike many other true crime stories you feel this one will get a conclusion. Oh and fab sound track too!

Well done. Thank you! At first I was a little baffled by the Luis Perez rabbit hole-( I’m sorry, but he seems guilty), but the host brought everything back into focus and the relevance became apparent. I appreciate the process.

Just listening to the first episode and the host says something like “serial killers are a very American phenomenon” and I’m thinking OK this is where he’ll tell us Resendiz is Mexican. Nope. Why wouldn’t a journalist report this fact? Resendiz was deported several times but kept reentering...Read full review »

Good podcast, great host. My only issue is that there is no real resolution. I’m not expecting him to solve the case in one season but at least make another season to update us. It just ended so abruptly. Other that that, it’s a good binge.

As being in the criminal justice field, you had excellent follow ups, questioning witnesses, and just all around great work. Hope you find a lawyer. And can’t wait for season two.

Had potential but became super repetitive. I felt like this could have been a 3 episode series. Also the theme song makes my ears bleed.
Em4444455 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 03/05/19
This is a great well-produced podcast about a serial killer and his subsequent additional confessions. The implications of badly handled criminal investigations is made stark. Interesting and worrying in equal measure!
MylesMc via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 03/02/19
Haven't gotten all the way through but can already tell the rest will be enjoyable. A compelling story told by a great storyteller. Great overall production values. The only negative thing I can say about it is that the theme song kind of annoys me. LOL.Read full review »
