Should have been about 5 episodes instead of 24. Can’t believe I stuck with. Narrator unbearable with the scripted laughs and accents.

Wayyyy too many ads. Ruins it.

I was expecting an eerie, spooky story. Instead, I learned of unsettling true events and an unburiable horror.

Tried the first two episodes. Had to give up. Way too slow. Too many tangents.

Thanks Kru loved the podcast

I found the narrator was always repeating what was told from last episodes. Thus, the whole story could have been told in less then half the time. Also, I agree with some of the other comments that the series has too much of a Woke focus and seems to try to justify one’s actions by a conflicted...Read full review »

A wealth of history told with respect to bring justice to a 150 years one sided story that was in its self an injustice.

Great work on this podcast and on the television series, the podcast gives listeners the insight and depth of detail that the television series can’t allow time for. Very respectful towards the First Nations in all aspects, more historical programming in Canada needs to follow the lead that this...Read full review »

I got turned on to this podcast by the trailer and it talking about a dead man’s curse and a search for gold. Thru the first six episodes all they talk about is the dead indigenous man and was he guilty or not. They repeat the same parts of the story over and over again. seems like they’re just...Read full review »

Great show but the immersion is ruined by a 3 minute ad break every 5 minutes , I understand the need for ads to support these shows but this is excessive.

I don’t agree with the last review. This podcast is amazing and Kru, I love your voice. The history is great considering I’m from the states and I don’t know much about Canadian history. I started watching the show last night and it’s amazing as well. Although I have to say, you guys are a little...Read full review »

A wonderful historical event. I felt so sorry for him.

Also the whole thing takes on a touchy feely woke view because he was indigenous.

I love the show and this podcast series is great background. I watch these types of shows more for the history than the treasure hunt. I think you have done a great job setting the historic back ground to Slumach’s story. I also really appreciate the indigenous view point to history which is a...Read full review »

I find the story interesting although it has far more to do with the effects of colonialism on Indigenous nations than gold. I understand this plays a part in the story but you’ve made it THE story.

I first listened to this story on a rainy day and this is the kind of story I need that day. I deeply enjoyed the story. Can’t wait for more. :)

I watch the tv show and the podcast is like a recap of the show. Love listening to it on my ride to and from work. It is nice to listen to a podcast that has a host that has a nice voice and sounds good. I have nothing bad to say about how this podcast produced. I look forward to the next in...Read full review »

Third episode just came out. Is okay, but not that great. Highly question any authenticity to this. Lots of facts presented, but nothing to support those facts.
