Incredible deep dives into gaming
The short version: excellent podcast for anyone who loves video games. If you're familiar with NoClip, then you know what you're gonna get from this podcast: high quality video game documentaries that tell the stories behind our favorite games. If you're not familiar with NoClip, believe me when I tell you it's the highest quality video game coverage out there. This podcast is hosted by Danny O'Dwyer, one of NoClip's founders. He's been in the biz for years and is one of the best interviewers out there. What I love about Danny is that he's a natural speaker and conversationalist. Too often, I start listening to a games podcast and have to turn it off because the host is a troglodyte freak that doesn't know how to have an actual conversation. Danny, on the other hand, is an articulate guy who can really engage whoever he's talking to. That skill is front and center in Dear Dwyery. What's more, the great production from Jesse Guarascia elevates these conversations to a quality I think every podcast should strive for. Harking back to the NoClip Crewcast's earlier iterations, each episode is a fully produced audio documentary. The soundscapes are subtle but transformative. Its audio is well mixed, and the background music and sounds make me feel as though I can actually see what they're talking about in the episode. Like I said, this is what every podcast should be. It's perfect for long drives, exercising, or just laying on the couch. I love listening and cannot wait to hear more. Good on you, lads.Read full review »

More reviews of Dear Dwyery
Interview style podcast which is mercifully free from the two-friends-trying-to-fill-an-hour paradigm. Solid style and hopefully can get a little more in depth in future, I'd listen to a part two of this that dove deep into the passion for design.Read full review »
