“Worthy intent as I'm all for encouraging an understanding of science. I'm assuming this is aimed at creating new audience - young females. The science itself is fine but I found the delivery at times rather 'ditsy' and condescending in tone for my taste. Maybe I'm just too old to identify with the style of delivery.
The use of the agony column felt like a bit of a stretch as a suitable starting point for the episode about naming. I didn't much like the music and sound effects. Rather than amusing, I found them a bit juvenile. These elements felt like dumbing down aimed at appealing to a certain, perhaps otherwise reluctant audience.
I wonder what younger females make of this.
