“Deepest gratitude for bringing Sugar to the airwaves! I listened to all 3 shows in one day!!! More!! More!!! Bravo!! Bravo!! The authentic sharing and powerful insights are invaluable! I also really love Steve Almond, Steve Elliot, and other people you call during the show....really mixes it up! Desperately waiting for the next show.....need my Dear Sugar fix! I first read your Dear Sugar book a few years ago in about 2 days after I read Wild in about 2 days!
I will be forever grateful you came into my life (as well as millions of others!) Your book Wild (and the movie, very well done) touched me profoundly. I lost my mother when I was 34 years old when my daughter was 3 yrs old and my son 2 months old. Loosing her nearly destroyed me. She was hit by a car in 1997.......even though I was more like her mother.......she was my whole world because she was my best friend! She knows me and loves me like no other I have ever known.
Thank you for being so vulnerable and honest about your life. Your strength has helped me own mine. I had the amazing privilege to see you in Colorado Springs this last October for the Mental Health luncheon. Tears just streamed down my face as you spoke so sincerely from your heart. My mother was manic-depressive and had a very hard life dealing with her mental illness. You are so compassionate to people with mentally illness and addiction issues. Hell.....you are so compassionate to everyone....and also to yourself......a great teacher you are! I laugh and cry with you! Someday I hope to meet you in person and give you the biggest hug ever!
Lots of love and healing hugs of JOY to you Cheryl!
