Honest, Vulnerable, Compassionate
There are so many words that you could use to describe this first episode of the first season of this podcast. I’ll stick to 3: honest, vulnerable, and compassionate. I love Lizz’s honesty and vulnerability when she shares her story. I’ve been blessed to hear it multiple times and each and every time she is so honest and vulnerable. I can’t imagine the amount of fear she goes through each time she shares. I appreciate her story. The compassion that both she and Esther talk about for their listeners is so genuine. I can’t wait for the next episode to be released. You hear in this episode from both Lizz and Esther about “Being Jesus with skin on” and the imagery is so beautiful. I am very blessed to call Lizz a friend and each time I talk with her she is just that “Jesus with skin on”. While I personally don’t have kids of my own, hopefully one day, there is so much to learn and grow from their stories. I will be listening on a weekly basis and I am so thankful they have created this space. Thank you Deconstructing Mamas, love your work! ❤️

One of my favorite podcasts. The hosts ask thoughtful questions and are so gentle and kind. There have been many great episodes that have hit me right where I am in my parenting and deconstruction/reconstruction journey.

I love this podcast. It’s comforting to know you’re not alone in the hard task of parenting when you’re faith is evolving and you don’t always know which steps to take. - mum of three.

I’m grateful for the message being shared on this podcast and the guests are wonderful. I don’t always share the same concerns discussed about certain aspects of church or gospel, but that’s what is so wonderful about these conversations. They’re so compassionate and recognize everyone’s journey...Read full review »
