Highly recommend
I’ve been reading Cal’s blog since 2013 at the start of uni and read both Deep Work and Digital Minimalism this year. His actionable advice is motivating: when I feel stuck in an unproductive rut, I read a couple posts from the blog archive to get me going again. His podcast has been helpful and illuminating, a bit like a mailbag. I especially like his emphasis on being conscious of what you’re working towards, not just working for the sake of it (this can lead to procrastination). He brings a meaningful lense to work, encouraging people to ask deeper questions of themselves, much like James Clear or Leo Babauta. It’s also been comforting to hear the productivity struggle he and others have been going through during the current pandemic, encouraging me step back a bit. Thanks for a great weekly listen!

If there were only 10 podcasts in the world then this would need to be one of them. I love his succinct and easy to follow style and very practical no nonsense advice. Compliments the books very well.

As a professor, Cal is fantastic at identifying the struggles of college students. He gives actionable advices based on his own professional experiences, and he makes a life of discipline and structure sound very approachable and exciting.
