Her teaching and research covers Australian politics, public administration, public policy, ministerial advisers, the public service and gender issues in political staffing. Her book, co-authored with Marian Sawer, is Toxic Parliaments And What Can Be Done About Them.     Mark Kenny is the Director of the ANU Australian Studies Institute.
