This show was so good. The stories, the quality, the narration all so great. I looked forward to each new episode. Literally the reason I got a noiser subscription. Please tell me a season 2 is in the works.

This is SUCH a great show, but there’s just one small problem. The script is clearly written by a British person, whereas the narrator is American. It’s not a dealbreaker for me, but it does take you out of the moment to hear phrases like ‘waiting in the queue’ or that so and so ‘turned up’...Read full review »

I enjoy each episode. The narrators voice is amazing. I could listen to him talk all day! Keep up the good work. 👍🏼

In a podcast world of loud obnoxious banter and music, it’s fun to get out of your head and another time and enjoy these well put together stories. Wish we had more like this!! Thank you and the voice work is top notch. My favorites at the older cases. 1920’s or 40’s 50’s. Please keep up the...Read full review »

Don’t buy a subscription because they discontinue programs and it’s difficult to get your money back- better put up with advertisements.

Mark Dodson has such a great podcast voice. I wish he did more podcasts. His story telling gets you hooked instantly.

The narrators voice never changes and drones on so every story sounds the same? Stories are padded out, to be honest I don’t listen to this podcast anymore, I gave up.

I downloaded this podcast unsure if I would like it, but it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite true crime podcasts. I like that he doesn’t use foul language and dramatic effects to draw people in. I really like the narrator’s voice and the stories he’s highlighted. My favorite part of true...Read full review »

Not usually one for the reenactment format but this is really well put together and not overly dramatised. I like it.

Love the back and forth and the way Late TRIES to pull one over but is hardly ever successful at duping him and I love it! Kellye R. CenLAw Podcast

I started listening to Scotland Yard Confidential (from Noiser productions) when it first aired on Spotify. It was absolutely superb - Historical True Crime that was solved by some of the greatest Scotland Yard Detectives that have ever existed. You can imagine my disappointment when it was...Read full review »

If I could give this show 10 stars I would!! Very interesting stories. GREAT narration by Mark Dodson. Last but not least…it’s SO refreshing to hear a true crime podcast not full of profanity!! THANK YOU!

Ironically, I keep falling asleep listening to this! Mark Dodsons voice is ridiculously sleep inducing! I very much enjoy what I do get to listen to though 😅

These are very interesting real life stories which are well written and well read plus he has a great voice.

Is there a better voice for this podcast? NO!!! This is the best podcast- so well written and interesting. I love listening to that deep gravelly macho voice!

Love the narrators voice - Calm story telling style, interesting cases! I have to listen the the same episode multiple times - they’re so relaxing I keep falling asleep to them at night

I throughly enjoy these stories and how they bounce all over the years. You never know where you will go next and the different detective styles add to the mix. I like the old radio style and that these are true crimes that were solved through tenacity and determination to find the truth. I’m a...Read full review »

Love this show! Great stories. Love that it is much like the old radio shows without the back ground noise! Keep up the GREAT show!

Straightforward, suspenseful and entertaining . Not buried in music or special effects. Usually I enjoy the latter but in the case of this podcast, they just aren’t necessary. The narrators voice is calm and very easy to listen to. I can’t wait until each episode comes out.

Seems like everyone on the podcast is Americas Sherlock Homes…well hammed up and loads of inaccurate information

Great podcast. I really enjoy it. The story is good, but the voice of the narrator makes it excellent.

One star for staying on top of my Recently Updated podcast irrespective of whether there is a new episode or no. The equivalent of a guy putting his face in front of yours just coz you said hi.

It’s pronounced Ku-gee as in Coo and Gee not Coogey. Great podcast but learn the correct pronunciation of the cities, towns and suburbs you discuss. This podcast is ok if you want to hear cases that have been covered before on a plethora of other shows.

I love the voice of the host and narrator!! Such a great podcast! I love the story telling!!
Ryleesmom1 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 09/05/23
Great production values but it’s been let down by poor research and a tabloid spin on true crime. Take it with a large pinch of salt and there are some great tales but not as much “truth” as I would expect from an ordinarily reliable history channel.

Mark Dodson’s voice is insufferable. Too bad.

Odd
Sounds kinda weird to have an American film noir-style narrator reading stories obviously written by a British person.

Hi all! I only came across this podcast per chance & I must say I’m very impressed. I wrongly assumed it was a fictional crime podcast but was gladly surprised to find out it is a true crime podcast. I love this podcast, from the narrator’s old timey detective voice, to the strange but real cases and the detectives that solved them. I always look forward to the next episode!!!

Some of the forensic details are semi interesting, but I cannot handle the cop worship. Nauseating.
