The power of not feeling alone
I'm a queer solo poly single mom, I have CP as well (left hemiparesis), arthritis and generalized depression and anxiety. I wanted to share how listening to your podcast for the past week has been making me realize how so much of my depression and anxiety is rooted in internalized ableism, and how realizing that and sitting with it has been transformative for me. Hearing you and your guests talk about insecurities and so on has helped me feel valid and understood. I've been known to panic when I haven't heard from a partner from a little while, but I haven't felt panicked or even worried *at all* about them not wanting to be with me (because who wants to be with a gimp, right?) this week.
