Very Informative, Too Political
Overall, it’s a very well done podcast. I came across it looking for one that covered The Station Fire. Jennifer’s research is very thorough and detailed and every episode she does a great job of painting the picture in your mind. In early episodes, I think she was just finding her voice, and it gets distracting hearing “uh” and “you know” so much. She has improved in the later episodes, and only does it in her final thoughts. The big issue I have with the podcast is that she brings her politics into the story. She is left leaning, and is uninformed on topics such as gun control. If that bothers you, I’d pass on the mass shooting episodes. Don’t expect high production value as I think she’s a solo setup and doesn’t have the sponsorship and funding yet for that kind of equipment. She works with what she has and does it well. I just skip the last 5-10 minutes usually because I don’t want to listen to politics. So, overall, great show.

I'm a retired firefighter and arson investigator. This is a very well done series. My disaster experience includes working during hurricanes and, of course, fires. I can't say enough good things about this podcast. It's easily one of, if not the, best I've listened to.Read full review »

This podcast is amazing, the depth of coverage is top notch, even if she does perform unfathomable gymnastics to find a way to blame Every. Single. Disaster. on racism.
