Good topics, but...
I’m sorry, one episode in, and I just CAN’T listen to another, which is sad, because it seems as though the show topics she covers are quite interesting. However, my biggest roadblock is the pace of speaking by the host. She speaks so annoyingly fast, a 1/3 of the time, I couldn’t understand what she was saying. Another 1/3 of the time, the sound of her gasping for air actually made feel embarrassed for her. It all reminded me of the days in school when we’d have to read out loud in class - no one ever wanted to, so we’d rush through it as quickly as possible, thus making mistakes galore, and there is no shortage of grammatical stumbles here, due to some need for speed on behalf of the host. She also needs to put some emotion into what she’s reading. Instead, she makes it soooo obvious that, not only is she simply reading, but SPEED-READING off a sheet of paper. Essentially, this podcast was tolerable 1/3 of the time. Slow down, put some emotion into what you’re reading, and it’ll be much better.

I found this podcast recently and have been binge listening to the episodes. Each episode is covered in a thorough way but it's never boring to listen to and feels very natural. Can't wait for more. All the research that the host Jennifer does really shows.Read full review »
