“There is starting to be a fairly wide selection of disc golf podcast now availbile. While I listen to a few different ones, Disc Golf Anser Man (DGAM) remains my favorite.
You should be aware that the DGAM crew (Bobby, EMac, and Robert) all work for Dynamic Discs. Therefore, don't be surprised when they give plugs for Dynamic Discs, Westside, and Latitude 64 products exclusively. This is not a bad thing, but do you really expect them to recommend throwing anything else?
The podcast flows in a predictable way. The welcome, update on whats going on with the crew, perhaps a recap of the latest big tournament (NT's, DGPT, DGWT), and then get to the bulk of the episode which is answering listener questions. Most episodes float around the hour mark. The crew is energetic and fun to listen to. They like to banter and pick on each other, and even some of the questions that have been submitted. I found it funny that I was banned for asking too long of a question/debate topic (I sure hope they were kidding... ha ha).
With the bulk of the content features answering questions submitted by listeners, you're going to hear repeated questions, or questions that are very similar. Most of the questions tend to come from new and developing players. So this show would be great for players that fit that mold. However, I still think advanced and even pro players can get something out of the content that is discussed on this podcast. Also worth knowing that this podcast is family friendly, and I've never heard crude language or discussion of inappropriate content.
Along with this podcast, because Dynamic Discs is so involved with the growth of the sport, it has resulted in me transitioning to throwing and supporting DD. Keep up the good work gentlemen.
Give this podcast a shot, because I think you will like it.”Read full review »
