I’m absolutely loving this podcast, was so sad to see it seemed to have come to an end then out of the blue a new episode appears. Hooray! I’ve just entered the dark age but let’s be honest the worst is yet to come in the early 00’s. Time to get back to class, keep up the good work.

I just found this podcast and am binging! Ben and Sam have opened up my favorite movies in a whole new way - well researched and because they love animation, the heart of the movies are kept in the episodes.

A fantastic blend of introduction to films you don’t know very well or a great dive into the history and detail of those you may have watched on repeat. Would be great to know when it may be back as I’ve just completed an entire re-listen so far this year.

I adore this podcast but it seems to have come to an abrupt halt, can anyone shed some light?

Just wanted to say that I love the show but to mention that anyone who was a kid in the 70s remembers the Rescuers. It’s certainly not a ‘forgotten movie’ by Gen Xers. We had the vinyl soundtrack too which was played to death at home and loved this movie when it was new. It was everywhere! Books,...Read full review »

I am starting at the beginning here since I just found out about this podcast via EOH. It’s not much of a jump from Grimm tales like Snow White! But I have to say, if a bodice was put on Snow, it would be over a chemise, pervs! :) I am up to the Fantasia episode now and it’s fab! Thanks for...Read full review »

This is my favourite podcast. It’s not just two dudes talking about Disney movies. Sam is so well researched and brings the knowledge and Ben keeps the whole show very organized while bringing his own perspective. Can’t recommend highly enough.

It took me a couple of gos to get into this podcast. I’m a huge Disney fan and was delighted to discover it. I experienced it like I did Pixar’s Soul. First time I experienced it I thought it lacked its own voice and didn’t pop. Then I tried again and realised it was a work of art. I don’t always...Read full review »

This podcast is so insightful, it’s been such a treat to rewatch all the animated classics and then get so much inside info about the movies I grew up with and especially the ones I didn’t grow up watching! The hosts are so funny 😁 I especially love that they had an ep about Who Framed Roger...Read full review »

The perfect podcast for fans of Disney movies. Ben and Sam have such vast knowledge on the topics, but it always feels like the listener is in the room with them, thanks to their friendship and humour shining through at all times. I stumbled on this because Paul Scheer tweeted about his appearance and omg am I glad I listened. I am a fan of most Disney movies & also the parks but am no film buff or animation expert or Disney nut… but I cannot stop listening. Hosts are very fun and likable and extremely knowledgeable...Read full review »

Was looking for a podcast about the history of Disney and their animated classics. Every other podcast on this topic has way too much personal stories or opinions and don’t enlighten or talk about advancement in techniques, historical context or behind the scenes info. This does and the hosts are...Read full review »

What a lovely, well-researched podcast. I could listen to these hosts all day. I have learned so much and been introduced to the incredible talent of the Disney universe—I would have never known about the wonderful life of Howard Ashman if not for this podcast. Thank you!!

The idea behind Disniversity is a simple one: two film fans discuss the Disney Classics catalogue, where one of them (Sam) knows a lot about them and one of them (Ben) knows a little bit about them. Along the way, Sam teaches both Ben and the pod audience all about the history of the film,...Read full review »

I’m a big Disney and animation nerd, so seeing this show up in my recommendations was a no hesitation listen. But, once I listened, the humour, the knowledge, the mouth trumpeting!! Amazing podcast, thanks Sam and Ben 😊

So unique, intelligent, fun and seriously educational podcast through the ages of Disney Animated films. I’m through The Bangers Era and see that I’m close to running out. Please come back soon with the next era.

This podcast had me hooked from the first few episodes. I grew up as a “Disney kid” in the 90s, so when I was looking for an escapist podcast to fill my driving time, this had great shelf appeal. But as I have listened, I have found it to be so much more than just listening to two people talking...Read full review »

So I’m on maternity leave, a huge Disney fan, so this podcast is brilliant. Long nights awake on night feeds watching films & then listening to the views and comments. I love it. So excited to watch and listen to the next film. Well done boys!!

This is truly a great pod series. Packed in a such sympathetic format and presented by two hosts with great chemistry and knowledge. Even though I’m a truly a Disney nerd, and have both read up much, as well as seen countless documentaries on the subject - I have a great time listening to this.

Sam and Ben have renewed my love of (most) Disney classics and I have found myself amazed at the depth they go to as they discuss these beloved animated films. Each episode is jam-packed with heartwarming content that puts a huge smile on my face. Keep up the great work Professors!

Love the podcast - I eagerly await each episode and listening really brightens my journeys to and from work. I’m particularly enjoying your explorations of some of the lesser known Disney movies. Keep up the good work.

Besides the deep Disney lore explored I enjoy this podcast because of the structured approach. I’m getting so much more out of the earlier films I didn’t have time for before thanks to Sam’s insight. A really insightful look into the Disney catalog. Ben and Sam treat the movies like the art they are and never like cynical entertainment aimed at kids. It’s been really fun learning how little I actually know about Disney movies. It’s worth a listen even if you don’t have the time to watch along!
