Finally!
I have been waiting for exactly this dissection. As an upper middle class white woman in her 40s, I knew so much of TPAB was lost on me, although what wasn't lost has been a revelatory musical experience that, like AL Shakes' Sound and Color, has brought me back to my days of obsessive lyric-learning and window-down stero blasting. I can't think of another musical manifesto that deserves this kind of attention. Just finished the first episode, and I love it. Sometimes there are albums that deserve more depth than they're given, especially Kendrick's. Looking forward to the next album they dissect. Definitely worth subscribing if you're into music, and in this case a big KL fan. @sethlenoRead full review »
