DLC

Clearly he/she has never heard Arthur Geis (or IS Arthur Ges), the true reigning king of cynicism and negativity in game journalism. —---- DLC is a fun, lively show that has all the energy of radio/TV call-in shows along with the same technical issues that plague that format (which is all in good fun). Unlike a lot of game podcasts, there are few moments where the discussion devolves into inside baseball or self-congradulatory back-patting (a problem with a lot of podcasts featuring professional journalists and developers/publishers) and generally encourages interaction between listeners and hosts. “Enthusiast Press” tends to feel like a walled garden, and DLC is a refreshing change of pace with hosts who are friendly and optimistic rather than negative and jaded. 10/10 would subscribe

The love of loving things train keeps on rolling with all of the banter, insight and puns you come to expect from Jeff and Christian but without the rush. I quite enjoyed the long form format allowing for discussion of other topics such as board games and interaction with listeners.

The dynamic between the hosts is good. I was a big fan of TRS so to see Jeff do another show is good. I think they still need to dial I the logistics around people dialing in, but I dig the show's format.Read full review »
