“This podcast featuring a panel of female Doctor Who fans from around the world is on the whole a delight and listening to the range of observations and opinions based on their individual experiences of the show is fascinating, thought provoking, funny and frustrating. There is such a diverse and varying array of thoughts being expressed that no one could agree with all the podcast members all the time but it is almost always a pleasure to listen to their conversations. However, I almost feel like I should be writing two separate reviews - one for episodes including Liz and one for episodes where her contribution is absent. Where most of the speakers have respect for each others' opinions and give their fellow members space to express themselves without interruption, Liz constantly speaks (or more accurately shouts) over other people and interrupts them before they get to finish their thoughts. Everything she says is dripping with an unpleasant sarcasm and mocking tone and she turns the atmosphere of the conversation from good natured debate to unpleasant derision. There is a palpable tension in episodes where she is featured where you are willing one of the other panel members to call her out on her behaviour and tell her to shut up. As a Doctor Who fan from Scotland (as is she) who has loved the show for over 40 years I disagree with almost everything she says, but that is not my issue with her - I often disagree with opinions expressed in the show but find myself questioning myself due to the dignity and intelligence with which they are vocalised. The conversations are fascinating and thought provoking and I love the enthusiasm and passion for Doctor Who they contain. Liz stands out in having a very disrespectful manner of interacting with others and comes across as extremely rude, arrogant, derisive, patronising and unpleasant. My heart sinks when I hear in the introduction to an episode that she is going to be involved and I often just switch it off. The other members are very patient and tolerant of her, but it still makes for uncomfortable and irritating listening. So I will still give the podcast a 5 star rating for the contribution of the other panel members, but when the conversations are hijacked by Liz I would struggle to give it a 1 star rating. A very mixed experience due to the lack of self awareness of one of the contributors.”Read full review »

“Funny and occasionally fan-ish, they always have something fascinating and insightful to say about episodes. Even if you don't agree on some of their interpretations/opinions of the eps, it's still a delight to listen to. BE WARNED: you may experience the sudden need to jump on their...”Read full review »

Now watch Dr Who with some of the panel's ideas in mind that overall enriches viewing. Only place for improvement is where...”Read full review »
