“I just had to write and let you ladies know how very much I enjoy your podcasts. I've been a Doctor Who fan since 1975 - Tom Baker was my 1st Doctor. I was the only teenager I knew of who was aware of Doctor Who's existence.
During the "wilderness" years, my local PBS station starting showing episodes from the Hartnell years forward. What a wonderful experience that was. I have so many memories of the various Doctor's and my favorite episodes.
However, when 2005 rolled around, it took some convincing from my dear friend Ally, to get me back into the groove of watching again. I was so disappointed in the tv movie, and I was very reluctant to even give New Who a try. So she suggested I start by watching RTD's "Casanova", starring David Tennant. I was over the moon! I went back and watched the very first Christopher Eccelston episodes and was instantly hooked. I loved Captain Jack and Rose, and when the regeneration sequence took place, I was primed and ready to become a full fledged, full on David Tennant fangirl. His episodes are still my favorites of New Who.
So enough about me... Your podcast has brought me so much joy. I listen to several other DW podcasts, but Verity lets me get my Doctor Who fangirl on and allows me to fully appreciate as a woman, what it really means to be a Whovian. The female perspective is so important to my enjoyment of the show, and you all are truly brilliant. Thank you so much for your in depth analysis, your opinions and most of all your honesty. I'm a listener for life!”Read full review »

“This is most intelligent discussion outside of some NPR news podcast. Even when I vehemently disagree with one of the participants (so much so I shake a fist my iPod) the discussion is so well thought out that I have to consider her point of view. After a Doctor Who episode I actually rush to...”Read full review »

“This is a podcast by women for women. If you're a male you will feel your whiskers recede into your skin. Everything, and I mean everything, is made into the "women are downtrodden and Doctor who proves it" trope. And I say "trope" because it obviously shows how learned I am. At least they seem...”Read full review »

“I have watched Who off and on since the late 70's when Famous Monsters of Filmland ran a piece just as my local PBS station started airing the Tom Baker episodes.
I have been listening to Verity since the start of this year and I just want to say how much I enjoy this podcast. In fact, it has...”Read full review »
