Not a reliable source for up-to-date and modern dog training
I am a certified dog trainer and understand there are many schools of thought. I further understand that this podcast was recorded three years ago. But the information provided in the podcast is based on old school techniques based around the methodology of "pack leaders", dominance, and needing to gain your dog's "respect". Some of his ideas are effective and reliable but they are based out of a methodology that has been proved to be incorrect. I'm not a dog person. My husband is. He has wanted a dog ever since his passed 5 years ago. We got a puppy 4 days ago and all my worst fears about having a dog came out.
