“Before I came across this podcast, I was just an ordinary teenage girl living in the third world. Okay sure I’m in the UK rn but that’s cos I have to attend uni there, not that I have any privilege or anything. Anyways I just want to say I had no idea what self-image was (bc it’s a capitalist construction and our schools only teach us communist concepts) yet I felt bad about myself for not being able to access the basic civil and human rights like people living in developed countries. After listening to Don’t Be Ugly I realised that I actually have a self-image, and it’s ugly. I also realised the need to confront my self-image, which is new to me. I must admit I haven’t really come to grips with that yet but luckily I have this podcast! Which is so cool and I’ve learned so much!! Thank you so much Caroline you are like my new idol now (besides Karl Marx and Mao Zedong) and I really aspire to have your self-image. I’ll defo keep listening and recommend it to all of my friends! Love you💖”
