I desperately want to like it
I subscribed to this podcast and love the guests on it but for most of the shows, it feels like Laura is just winging it. The questions are all over the place and hard to follow. She talks over her guest and even answers their question for them. It all doesn’t flow and is a bit clunky. It’s not as easy to listen to and she doesn’t come across as professional. It’s like she is trying to be laid back/professional sort of like smart causal but I just don’t think that works. You can be warm and professional, that does work. And I really hate the ‘be cool’ thing she says at the end. Like really, what does that actually mean? It’s a phrase my son says to his friends when they want to impress someone or get out of trouble. It feels very much like she is trying too hard. Oh well. I really really want to like it but it hurts my ears sometimes:(
