“Since almost all OTR shows are avialable for free from various places on the net, there is only one reason to tune in to a podcast: the commentary. The commentaries on most OTR shows are terrible, frankly, which is what makes DTMS such a gem: there's no humming and hawing while the presenter tries to think of something to say, and he's not just giving dull opinions. DTSM offers real information about actors, directors, writers, and others involved in creating golder-era radio programs. “I love the detective stories, the quality of the recordings is hit and miss so are the stories. The lead in intro is too long. Episode 48 has a nearly 17 minute introduction! In general the intros are a long compilation of detective story intros, plus music, which would be sufficient alone.
