A good listen but sometimes distracted
I have been listening to Down with Dnd for a long time now. It's always been a great show for topic discussion. Shaw and Christopher are both ingrained in the dnd envrionment (5e) and it shows. Both voices come from different viewpoints, with Shawn while not 'on the inside' seems more on the pulse which means Christopher is able to adopt different less industry viewpoints (even though Christopher is on the inside in his own way) Something things though to note A) The main topic can suffer a bit esp when the two guys get distract by a random news topic. (in terms of time alloted to the main discussion topic). This dosnt always happen but it is noticeable B) Because one of the podcasters is a prolific author it can mean a very one side conversation on certain products. Its a shame, because the topic is worth talk about, if you only have one side of a two person team talking about it, it can often feel very limited. A Good podcast with a wide variety of topics.Read full review »

I ran Icewind Dale recently and without their advice it wouldn’t have been a great as it was. I had fun, but most importantly the players had a campaign they’ll always remember. The insight provided and suggestions are must listen to before running an Adventure Path

Out of a hour long podcast the first half Shaun talks about all the things he has written. If he is interviewing a creator, he will spend the second half hour telling them about all the things he worked on. He should just post his resume and forget doing a podcast.
