Best MTB podcast, learn something in every episode
I love mountain biking and I’m also a podcast junkie so it shouldn’t be too surprising that I’ve repeatedly tried every biking podcast out there and Downtime is definitely the best. Here are a few reasons why: The guests, they range from big names like Jerome, Greg M., Tracy Moseley, and Aaron Gwin to experts like Jordi (at Fox) and John Hall. Next, Chris (the interviewer) asks insightful questions and I learn something from every episode. There have been a few guests that I thought “why listen to that person” but listened anyway and afterwards thought “wow, I really like that person” and/or “that was very interesting”. (That is a sign of a good interviewer.) Chris also lets his guests speak and doesn’t interrupt them. (This occurs regularly in another certain mtb podcast.) My only critique would be that I would like longer episodes but to be fair does an addict ever say they want less?

More reviews of Downtime
Chris asks all the right questions and talks to the right people. I look forward to listening to each new one as well as working through the back catalogue. So many insightful things that are never covered in a standard ‘interview’.

This podcast is awesome, good guests and lots of great information that gets to the personalities behind the riders and also has information to help with your own riding. Cheers for easing my boredom in the week when I am working my proper job!
