“Hey there, I just watched season 10 episode 13 about the effects of standing rock. I don’t know very much about North Dakota, I live in the Northwest Territories in Canada. You did really good coverage, and it was definitely a story that I had wanted to hear. Living in a region that is struggling with indigenous sovereignty and impacts of resource extraction, I highly recommend you listen to a podcast called Operation Morning Light by Deneze Nakehk’o. The reason is, in some ways it doesn’t even matter who is doing the damage and why, because it’s a long continuation of exploitation. It’s a trauma on a trauma on a trauma. I know you touched in it with the statement from the Indigenous psychologists group, it just can’t be emphasized enough.”
