Honest Untitled Review
5-Stars is a common scale of which we use to "rate" everything in the modern age of the internet. As I leave the highest rating allowed by Apple please do understand, personally, I believe that the 5-Star(s) attached to this review is unable to articulate my recommendation of not only Dropping Spicy, the content contained but also the community. I have drafted this review, revised it and I find it somewhat difficult to put into words. Earlier today I went back and listened to the interview with Mom's Spaghetti (Emmerlyn) to gain a frame of reference from which I want to draw from. Like Emmerlyn and Geo - I too am apart of the club and have been a member for 6 year since the murder of my mother that is currently ruled as an ongoing homocide investigation. Simply hearing the raw emotions, again, helped me better understand the topic of my review. As a fresh-out U.S. Army Veteran returning home - a place I ran from by enlisting - only to slowly understand that the only thing that has changed is the number of people I cared about and served with that I've lost. Hearing those emotions all over again gave me the courage to write this publicly and express my, otherwise unproclaimed, advocacy for Mental Health & Gaming. After the Department of Veterans Affairs diagnosed me with Post-traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) I have scrambled to grab control of my mental well-being. There have been many ups and downs but the only constant has been gaming. More specifically APEX Legends. The combination of the show and the community helps me in ways only I can fully understand and I hope this small review not only assists me in my efforts to spread the word of the pure positivity gaming - especially within a community - can and does have. This is a subject near and dear to who I am as a person and a subject that we, as a modern society, individually struggle to find enough comfort within ourselves to speak truthfully on. Thank you from the bottom of my heart and my appologies for the mini-novel that is my review of Dropping Spicy, but as I stated at the above: 5-Star(s) isn't enough. Keep Dropping (it) Spicy, communicate and remember above all else - connect.Read full review »
