“I was a fan of the podcast until it became overwhelmingly political. While Duncan doesn't really offend me with simply being wrong, listening to Natasha muse about politics is like watching a post-stroke Dick Clark count down as the ball drops. Did she really go to a free range performing arts school? Let me grab a chair.
Her theories about economic mechanisms are really stirring. There must be someone in LA who could hook her up with a publisher. "I didn't know any of this stuff. I'm an Idiot." - Natasha Leggero. Well put.
Duncan, I finally found a way you can make Natasha moan- Just mention Bush/ republicans/ corporations. She doesn't know why she hates them — or what they really are — but boy, does she hate them. Oh, and Sarah Palin, Glenn Beck and the tea party too.
Oscar from the office really contributed some great stuff. His rant about the right and Republicans having a master plan to make everyone want to audition to be on the Jersey Show was really great. His insane muttering would make any campus square proud. "Republicans don't want debates, they want yelling and screaming and hate and fear! That's what they do." Do you actually believe that? I didn't think someone who claimed to be open minded could deal in extremes like that.
Duncan, I'm praying to all the major gods that you were simply being polite in this episode. Do you actually believe everyone who holds a different political position than yourself speaks like a slack jawed yokel? You passed the point of being humorous and went straight on into delusional. Read some Hayek. He was an economist. The people who study economics.”Read full review »
