An Ode to Spot
This is actually an ode to Earl Grey, not to a cat. I came across this podcast pretty late in the game and am just now catching up, and it has been great fun to listen to each show. The hosts are entertaining and delve into the characters and plots and give them even more dimension. I've been inspired to rewatch a good number of episodes from their commentary. The thing that impressed me the most, however, happened during the episode where they discussed Captain Picard's love interests throughout the series. One of them made a comment that they were NOT going to rate the female characters based on looks or hotness. I cannot how much I appreciate that. I found another podcast that was titled "The Women of Star Trek," and was excited to find something covering how the various series dealt with its female characters. Nope. It was an all-male panel rating the women based on their hotness. So, thank you, Earl Grey, for talking about the women of TNG as actual people. You show the enlightened spirit I love so much about the Federation and Star Trek. P.S. I assume you're going to cover Troi and Crusher in character profiles at some point, right? :)Read full review »

I came across this podcast after listening to the 602 Club, also on the Trek.fm network of podcasts. The hosts Lee, Richard and Amy play off each other very well and really try to deepen the conversation about Star Trek The Next Generation.

Three people gather round and talk all about all manner of things to do with the TNG universe, while displaying the knowledge they have for the franchise they also have a lot of fun in the dissection. If your a TNG fan its worth giving it a go
