There are no words to describe the awesomeness of this podcast, except these: “F¥€k... me...”

Have had a few good chuckles listening to this while driving.

An excellent podcast, especially for creatives who need reassuring that “no, it wasn’t just you who thought you wrote the next Romeo and Juliet as a child, but going back and reading it, it is far closer to The Room.” Pleasant, but not saccharine. Like a tart fruit pie. Rhys is a bit of a hard...Read full review »

Loved the witty and friendly interview style and the calibre of guests like OT Fagbenle. Such a charming, intelligent and interesting guy, loved his stories and insight into his early life... nice angle for an interview for sure

I love this podcast. Speaking as a nerdy loser from school, it is great to hear that others did some embarrassing things too.

Worth listening to just for Tom Rosenthal’s rap

Great listen. Dan Shreiber episode is fantastic, as is the Emily Dean one. Rhys James has come up with a great concept and is an engaging host.

Great podcast, all the guests are fantastic, and his uncanny ability to predict what people were like at school is always fun to listen to. I’ve got through all the podcasts in a couple few days, definitely subscribing and waiting for more. Rhys almost throwing John Kearns out for what he said...Read full review »

I like the concept but can’t help thinking Rhys James has created the podcast so he can read his own childhood work, which is surprisingly good (which he knows) and then feign modesty.

Each episode is so unique to the guest and somehow, Rhys perfectly interviews, commentates, and encourages each of them with ease then hilariously responds with a classically embarrassing early work of his own. And at the end, everyone is always loser which is a great message to remember...Read full review »

If I had to review this podcast, and I do cause it’s the first format point of writing a review, I would say that it has made self isolation better

Love it, very very funny. Only downside is that Rhys’s poems are actually pretty good for a teenage boy 😂

I know people like dogs and everything but this is better than dogs. If I had to choose between this podcast and dogs, I’d choose this podcast.

I’m really excited for more of these. This is such a great concept for a podcast.

I saw Rhys perform a set at a perfectly mundane storage awards dinner recently, he worked hard to draw in the raucous audience and within 10 minutes had us all laughing like drains with him and his observational comedy. Keep going fella!

This has a relaxed and open format, really bringing you into the podcast- it feels like you’re all in the room together (and I now have to find my old ‘creative writing’ books!)
