Very good and great to listen. Quite crisp comparing it to other Econ podcasts

A good natured and informative discussion that grounds economic theories in their social, historical, and personal context. Pete and Gav manage serious material with a light touch that makes the often abstruse material approachable. Also, appreciate that they call out problematic aspects of the...Read full review »

I’ve been looking for a good podcast on the history of economics for years, and I’d almost given up until I found Economics in Ten! I’ve listened to every episode, and each one is like a little puzzle piece that gives me a better understanding of how various economic theories developed, and the...Read full review »

Erudite and entertaining, an encomium to economics.

I love this podcast. It’s warm and funny and really very informative. I’m not a student of economics but I’ve learned so much interesting and useful stuff. The ‘specials’ are my absolute favourites but I’ve also enjoyed finding out more about economists and how their work fits into today’s world.

This podcast is by far the best podcast out there. It is interesting and great for studying economics.

A must even for those with economics knowledge. The economists, their theories and the historical narrative most refreshing. Thanks Pete & Gav

I’ve been really enjoying these. The hosts are knowledgeable and funny and make tricky ideas simple. I particularly like the historical context

I really wanted to learn some more about economics but the presenters are so annoying I’ve given up on it. Giggling like stupid schoolboys and trying to be funny when they are not really detracts from the presentation. They might know their stuff but sadly the listener will never get to find out!

I have often thought of economics and a dry subject but hearing Pete and Gav’s witty exchanges has completely changed my outlook. These two young men produce- almost effortlessly it seems- the most inclusive, engaging chemistry you will hear on a podcast. Light humour serves the subject, but the chief pleasure is having them as company. Smart, but never smart Alec.

Listening to this exquisite piece of work whilst trimming the lawn is almost as satisfying as taking candy from babies. I’m pretty certain I reached ultimate tranquility. Excellent work and a big shoutout to my mandem in my class From your fave fan money maker h-dog

I was minding my own business searching for some more ABBA songs to sing along to when I stumbled across this masterpiece. I now have posters of Phillip Hammond, John Maynard Keynes and some more of the money mandem plastered around my room.

Fascinating, thoroughly researched, engaging... An excellent discussion by Gav and Pete from which I learned a lot. It brought Ricardo alive as a person. Question: in this day and age, to what degree do many countries still have comparative advantage or is it often now more a case of having the...Read full review »

Pete and Gav should have their own show on prime time television! The banter and chemistry between these two is unreal! They need too bring out some merch for the true day one fans!

My pals and I were listening to this gem on the way to McDonald’s, I have to say top quality points on both sides. Gav is great but Pete was the star of the show for me, he needs a show for himself.

Pete and Gav have a knack for engaging the listener with their banter and fun facts before reeling you in and surreptitiously educating you on the mysteries of economics. You don’t even realise you’ve been taught something.

This is brilliant! The ideas of the ‘great’ economists are used liberally in politics and the media and yet sometimes their ideas are misrepresented. This podcast tackles the myths head on, helping the listener develop an informed understanding. To top if off, it’s genuinely funny - Pete and...Read full review »

Enjoyable and informative. My favourite Adam Smith quote: No society can surely be flourishing and happy, of which the far greater part of the members are poor and miserable. Relevant today as it ever was.

It feels like economics is never off the news but I for one have always felt a bit mystified by concepts like free markets, small governments and why people believe strongly in this model or that. This podcast breaks that down in a really accessible way, peppered with funny personal anecdotes,...Read full review »
