Edict Zero - FIS has it all!
Edict Zero - FIS has it all: Exquisitely-crafted writing Hyper-captivating characters. A teensy bit of silliness. The Pan! A personable creator - Jack Kincaid Excellent voice acting. A diverse cast. Multifaceted, internally consistent world. Nerdy stuff (i.e. Paradox Artifacts are all powers of 2) A story that literally (so far) never stops. I'll just say it, right here in front of everybody. Edict Zero - FIS is my first and only audio drama love. I have had nighttime dalliances with earbuds in, under the covers with other shows such as Within the Wires and I am Sayer. I have had powerful, quickie binges with The Infinite Now and The Truth. But Edict Zero is the only show that I can come back to and it never fails makes me smile. I have strong need for novelty, so I almost never watch movies a second time or listen to audio drama again. Edict zero is the only audio drama I have listened to more than once. Additionally, The characters are fun and complex. I love them so much, that when I hear their voices in other roles on other audio dramas, I get excited. And the voice actors are very active, so this happens a lot. I have mentioned in some of my other reviews that certain podcasts have inspired me to start my own audio drama. I consider this a huge compliment to those creators. I am thankful for those because I am have a ball with mine. But Edict Zero is in different class altogether. It is so intimidatingly perfect; I could never dream of imagining of having the time, talent, or creativity to produce Edict Zero. And the craziest thing is that is all free. I understand that the economics of audio drama is daunting. I totally respect shows such as TANIS and The Bright Sessions that can monetize via Patreon and in-show ads. But when I contacted Jack to try to GIVE him some money, I was politely turned down. He told me that my request was worth more to him than the money itself. So I think that tells you a lot about how Jack thinks of the show. The fact that it has continued all this time must be, quite literally, a labor of love. Who am I to have these opinions? I am the man... writing the review, sir.Read full review »

The level of sound scape is really astonishing. It’s engaging, mystifying and marvellous in equal measure. I have no idea why it’s not got more reviews and ratings. It’s totally WORTH IT. Even tho sometimes i had to listen a couple of times - the use of language and the world created is really a...Read full review »

Certainly not your conventional audio book or podcast novel, Edict Zero is a Sci-Fi audio drama that sets its scenes purely through the character dialog and background sound effects (zero narration). And it's quite remarkable, somehow I can picture the world of Edict Zero despite never having...Read full review »
