Simply outstanding!
The Education Bookcast is an outstanding podcast on teaching and learning in the broadest sense of the terms, ranging from the life of great teachers to modern classics of education. Usually, each episode focuses on a single book or paper, through which the host goes in the greatest detail, quoting when necessary and commenting extensively and insightfully. As such, the podcast is not a book club: you don't have to have read the book or paper in question to follow. Where relevant, the host enhances the discussion with reflections derived from his own experience; however, his remarks always remain on topic and professional — no nonsense sharing of irrelevant private details here. The host makes every minute of the podcast count by being immaculately prepared, and keeps the audience engaged through his unreserved enthusiasm for the topic. The entry barrier to this podcast is non-existent, so it's for anyone interested in teaching and learning, not only for the professional educator. I most enthusiastically recommend this podcast: give it a chance: you'll be hooked, yet you won't regret having been!…Read full review »

This might sound dull and academic but the host is great and makes it really interesting. He's also...Read full review »
