Interesting subject flippantly done!
I'm a bit disappointed with this podcast. I just started listening on a "binge" basis, so maybe it will improve. It could be an interesting subject but there is too much "cute" banter between the hosts that apparently detracts from the researching of facts. Sorry if it seems I'm nitpicking, but facts are important, especially in history. I liked the use of Richard Posner's defense of the Electoral College. However, I never did hear from Jason and Ben that the Electors are not required to vote for the winner of the state's popular votes. While some states require they do so, the constitution does not. Electors can vote for whomever they please, even someone who wasn't running. This has happened more than once. The first presidential election was held in 1788, not 1789 as stated two or three times. Why bother to mention the Empire State as New York's nickname just to question whether the nickname or the building came first? A quick search reveals the building was named after the nickname. I'll continue to binge but hope it gets better. If so, I'll write a new reveiew.Read full review »

I have been studying presidents since I was 7 about 30 years ago and I learn something new in each podcast. Also these guys work very well together and are very funny kind of like a historical Abbot And Costello
