I desperately miss this show! Seriously one of my absolute favorite things to watch during spooky season. Would love, love, love and updated History of Horror with all the new horror movies to have come out!

… interviews are exceptional. Five stars for this intelligent, reflective and engaging trio alone.

It's amazing. It's from 10/20. You've got this privileged, connected little rich boy who's never worked a day in his life shooting his ignorant, smug mouth off about Trump's response to covid. The fact he forgot to mention Trump is the only reason we even got a vaccine so...Read full review »

Hugely thankful to Eli for starting this podcast - but it did improve immensely when he handed over hosting duties. The Edgar Wright episode in season 3 is like a horror filmmaker’s encyclopedia.

Shorten up those transitions, pal. 15+ seconds of dead air is unacceptable.

Great show i’ve listened a couple times through , they drop classic horror cult gems here . i kept logging them down . Also enjoyed Fangoria Nightmare University Podcast and all bonus episodes.

Season one was amazing, season two some of the guests are a little dull. Rob Zombie is my fav guest along with Greg & Tom. Hope we get more soon.

The host, who is allegedly a director, could stop talking long enough for his guests to get a word in. Stop making it about yourself. No one cares.

the interview with megan fox is so important - easily one of my favorite things i’ve ever listened to. thank you for providing a platform where women can talk openly about their experiences, especially when its about a movie that was so special to so many. i cant wait for more - fairuza balk...Read full review »

What a F@##&&%+ IDIOT & RUDE MUCH. Thought y’all. Said you. Know your info? I’d say if we knew where he was from shouldn’t you so five stars for the man. Mr. Tony Todd. Otherwise great could be longer. Thx

I love the interviews with Bryan Fuller and Edgar Wright. The producer is a great interviewer. He ask very thought provoking questions. As others have said, Eli Roth less so, but his enthusiasm, perspective and knowledge of the genre is also interesting to me. One thing that bothers me is how...Read full review »

As others have mentioned, awesome guests and topics - so high interest and I was really looking forward to it! But, it is terribly frustrating to have Roth interrupt the (amazing) guests constantly and make the narrative about himself! Maybe he can make a podcast with just his stories because you...Read full review »

Thrilled to have this podcast to satiate my craving for more of Shudder’s excellent Horror Noire documentary. The first episode with Tony Todd is one of the best interviews with him I’ve ever come across, if not just THE best. Fascinating stuff, and Ashlee Blackwell is the perfect host....Read full review »

I appreciate the wide range of guests and horror knowledge Eli Roth holds. At the same time, I have a hard time listening to this podcast. Eli Roth talks over his guests and doesn’t take full advantage of the amazing opportunity to speak to legends of horror. Eli Roth seems more focused on...Read full review »

Such a good informative series for horror fans. You just have to tough through Eli’s lack of manners interrupting just about everyone constantly

Would be great if Eli could interview Rick Baker. Legendary makeup artist

Loved hearing guests but does the producer know how to use a mic asking questions I can’t hear his questions at all

I listened to all of the History of Horror episodes, and enjoyed every minute. The best episode for me was the Rob Zombie/Greg Nicotero/Eli Roth conversation. What a good time.
Evil Ray77 via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 06/21/19
The best interviews in this series are done by a producer. Bruce Campbell’s episode is fantastic. Roth, instead of setting up his interviewees, talks over them, never lets them finish a thought, and thus leaves a lot on the table. He really should just record hours of audio of himself...Read full review »

If you can get over the first interview with King and Roth talking over each other this is honestly worth the listen to any horror fan. I would 100% recommend this podcast.

Getting through the first episode I already love it, hopefully there is a season 2 in store!

This podcast exceeded my expectations in so many ways. Of course Stephen King was a delight, with he and Eli’s passion for the genre, but beyond that - every guest has a different and thoughtful take on horror. The producer is very knowledgeable and asks the right questions to each guest....Read full review »

Eli Roth is an amazing story teller and a great interviewer. Even talking to Stephen King, who comes across as a block of wood in interviews, Eli shows what a great host he is by picking up the slack. A must-listen for horror fans!

Eli Roth lands an interview with horror icon Stephen King and then proceeds to talk over him for the entire hour, never shutting up about himself. Good God, man. Shut you mouth for five seconds and listen. You may learn something.
Bigbearmdb via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 05/22/19
A few issues with audio quality but for the most part fun to listen to. People complain about the Stephen King episode. They are having a conversation. That’s what happens. I don’t honk Mr. King wants to talk for two hours about himself. A conversation works much easier.

It’s amazing. On episode 3 found on a whim. Love it.

I was so excited to listen to this especially to the Stephen king interview. I have been a fan for many years but it was infuriating to hear the host continually interrupting him and talking about everything but kings masterful works. Will not listen to any more of these interviews sadly.

It could have been a great listen but could not get passed the episode with Stephen King. The host kept talking over him. So disappointed.

Sixty years old, didn’t think I was a horror fan girl, then this podcast comes along and shows me the light! My favorite writer/directors talking about my favorite films indepth to the 9th nerd degree. Love it! Keep’um coming!

I wanted to like this, especially the episode with Stephen King, but the host kept talking over him throughout the entire episode. Well, at least until the point at which I stopped listening.
goldielaux0113 via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 05/09/19
The Stephen King episode is very different from the Edgar Wright one. The King episode is more Eli Roth and King having a conversation as opposed to an interview. And that’s fine as they both have an encyclopedic knowledge of the genre so the listener learns a lot. The Wright episode is a...Read full review »

I’m a big horror fan and it’s great to hear Eli Roth chat with big names and get their takes on what influenced them and what their experiences were. My only complaint is that I can’t hear the producer very well when he’s talking.
