Hormones play a big role in our lives.   As women, our bodies go through 4 different phases each month.   So let's talk high-level about how our hormones: impact our moodschallenge our balance heighten our response and reactionsprevent us from using our best judgementThe menstrual cycle typically consists of four phases: menstrual, follicular, ovulatory, and luteal. Here's how each phase may affect behavior: Menstrual Phase (Days 1-5):Hormones: Estrogen and progesterone are at their lowest.Physical Symptoms: Menstruation, fatigue, and lower energy levels.Behavioral Impact: Some individuals may experience mood changes, irritability, or fatigue. Emotions may be more variable during this phase.Follicular Phase (Days 6-14):Hormones: Estrogen begins to rise.Physical Symptoms: Increased energy levels and a generally more positive mood.Behavioral Impact: Improved mood, higher energy, and increased social interaction. Cognitive abilities may be enhanced.Ovulatory Phase (Days 15-17):Hormones: Estrogen peaks, and there may be a surge in luteinizing hormone (LH).Physical Symptoms: Increased libido and possible mild bloating.Behavioral Impact: Higher confidence, enhanced communication skills, and an increased interest in social activities. Some individuals may experience an increased attraction to potential mates.Luteal Phase (Days 18-28):Hormones: Estrogen decreases, and progesterone increases.Physical Symptoms: Possible bloating, breast tenderness, and mood swings.Behavioral Impact: Some individuals may experience mood changes, irritability, and heightened sensitivity. There may be increased cravings for certain foods and a tendency to seek comfort.It's important to note that not everyone will experience the same behavioral changes during each phase. Additionally, factors such as stress, lifestyle, and overall health can also influence how the menstrual cycle affects behavior.  Support the show
