It’s a signature dish of Montevideo — and in this episode, we discover the best fainá in town. You go there once and then you return to your neighborhood for the rest of your visit. It’s very touristy and the locals warn that it can be dangerous. Montevideo has some of the most beautiful buildings we’ve seen in South America. Unfortunately, many of them are in desperate need of restoration. This one is now being used as a music school.
