I grew up in North Carolina as a southern Baptist from 1944 to 1964. After taking Old Testament and New Testament religion at Wake Forest, I became an atheist. That lasted for about 20 years. Until I had a mystical experience on a beach in South Carolina. It has taken me this long to get back to the Christian diaspora and John Philip Newell and Tripp Fuller and Diana Butler Bass and so on. I so wish I were 60 years younger and could be experiencing all of this emergent church at time when I really needed it. Or maybe now is the time when I really need it. Thank you all.
