It
I have listened to this podcast for a number of years, so I am not new to it. Overall I like it but I have real mixed feelings. What I like - Irvin Baxter is a patient, humble Christian man who I have nothing bad to say about. I really like his discussions about current events and how he feels they relate to Bible Prophecy. I usually enjoy his guests too. I also appreciate that Irvin has a heart for the unsaved and does everything he can to reach them! That being said, I have huge problems with some of his private interpretations of the Bible. For instance, Irvin claims that: ----we are already in the fifth (or sixth) trumpet of the book of Revelation, ----that the "Gog-Magog" war is the same war as Armegeddon, ----that the Rapture and second coming are the same thing and happen at the same time (after the tribulation), ----that the "1/3rd of the sun not shining, moon not showing it's light" from Revelation was Sadam's oil wells burning, ----that the 1/3rd of the ships being sunk was World War II, ----that the star falling to the earth and making the water bitter was the Chernoble Nuclear accident only because "wormwood" can be translated "Chernoble" ...I could go on and on. It also drives me nuts when he says the Bible "says" this or that. I want to scream at my radio - "No Irvin, that's YOUR INTERPRETATION of what the Bible says!!! It's not that Irvin Baxter doesn't believe the Bible, but he has some pretty crazy interpretations (in my opinion) of what the Bible says, many of them coming from his prayer time with God. I do still mostly like this podcast and do listen now & then when there is a topic discussed that interests me. However, I DO NOT recommend this podcast for someone who doesn't already know alot about Bible Prophecy because they could become easily misled about what the Bible actually says about the "end times" Take my review for what it is worth - it is just my opinion, but I do stand by it. Like I have said, I have listened to this podcast for years so I have heard alot!Read full review »
