Someone calling himself or herself クチャクチャ on the review Feb 9th is criticizing Hirokazu Sakamaki's English in such a bitter way. I find this despicable. While putting him down so scathingly, the reviewer admires all other women announcers' English as being excellent. Keiko Kitagawa may be the case, but I doubt about other female presenters particularly in comparison to Mr Sakamaki. This person must be a fanatic for American-accent- English or a sexist against men. I have a suggestion to NHK. When listeners post their judgement or criticism on newsreaders' English they must be required to state their objective English level with such criteria as Eiken 1st grade 英検1級 or TOEIC score 900. Otherwise, how can someone of a poor English level evaluate someone else of a much higher level?? Comments expressed in the public arena must be held accountable. There is a proverb, " A wise man never knows all, only fools know everything". From a 63-year-old perennial learner of English.Read full review »

Great news cast. I like the form. Would be nice to have it a little longer with a wider bases of events in japan. Also would enjoy if they had it separated by prefectures or city to get greater local stuff
