“These podcasts are akin to joining a scientific lads night out! Rick Edwards is like a puppy with a bone wagging its tail excitedly with each topic, while (Dr) Michael Brooks (PhD) keeps him vaguely on the scientific leash. Rick’s banter is endearingly open in the same way that small children embarrass their parents by saying exactly what’s on their mind - when in actual fact he’s just vocalising what most of us are thinking! However, if you’re easily offended maybe switch to Radio 4 instead. Don’t listen with the hope of enriching your scientific knowledge but definitely worth wasting 45 minutes your life for the entertainment value of each episode.”
