This was my favourite podcast. Really interesting and funny. I had to stifle out loud laughter multiple times while walking / bussing to work and listening to this podcast. Please come back with some new episodes!

Entertainingly funny way to ingest scientific topics. However, the laddishness went way overboard when the episode about the worst pain in the world included no examples of women & anesthesia for childbirth was fleetingly mentioned once. Generally, however, the hosts are much more sensitive...Read full review »

Two boring science-ish-ish shows, but at least this one isn’t hosted by Luke Bore

Probably my all time favourite podcast! They find the perfect balance between having a few laughs and really digging deep into the science, in a comprehensive way, with a great expert each week. Would definitely recommend to all!

Love this podcast! Such a fun way to learn, & the topics are so varied & interesting. Love the good-natured bants between Rick & Michael. Great combo to have hosts that know their stuff (or admit it when they don’t!) & are funny too!

I look forward every week to a new episode. It’s refreshing to have a very informative science podcasts with a damn good sprinkling of swearing. A winning combination.

Take a shot every time the expert says “kind of”.

Two of my favorite things are learning and laughing. I do both every week with these two. The perfect combination of high minded and low brow. I have a Masters degree but I’m not a master of anything. I feel your pain, Dr. Michael Brooks!!!

Loved listening to these guys since the Science-ish days and this doesn’t disappoint. Funny and informative! Just a shame Dr Michael isn’t a real doctor!….

If you liked the content of your biology class, but hated your biology teacher who was phoning it in, this show is for you. Rick and Michael are v easy-going as they help us make sense of the world around us. Great listen that makes me smile.

Was getting worried that the scienceish podcast was finished Pleasant surprise to have the guys back and on form in the same stream as the ligo episode

These podcasts are akin to joining a scientific lads night out! Rick Edwards is like a puppy with a bone wagging its tail excitedly with each topic, while (Dr) Michael Brooks (PhD) keeps him vaguely on the scientific leash. Rick’s banter is endearingly open in the same way that small children...Read full review »

This show is great, science delivered in a humorous way, the hosts work brilliantly together and the subjects are excellent, also the humour is much more accessible than some similar shows.

I came across this podcast via a promo on the (also excellent) Luke & Pete show. Not something I would have choosen to listen to without the nudge provided, but grateful for the shameless plug. It’s entertaining, educational, relevant and welcomingly different.

Makes a bloody change not to be spoken down to! I enjoy the banter, it's not too bloke-ish. If you (and you probably don't) need questions riddle me this - Human DNA was first sequenced over 20 years ago so why haven't we all got personal health plans by now? xxRead full review »

Great pod if you like science but arent a scientist. Reminds me a lot of The Science Of Discworld. Stak pods never disappoint. Brilliant, funny and well researched. Also listen to Abroad in Japan and Jackie the Ripper! Please keep up the good work guys!

Missed Science-ish. This’ll do nicely.
Breadman'84 via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 05/25/22
Easily one of the best general science shows around. The hosts have great rapport and manage to give insight without talking down to the audience. Great to have them back.

I’ve been waiting for the return of these guys (check out science-ish). Digs into the science fairly robustly, but layered with hilarious opinions, funny banter and provocative thoughts. Cheers from ears guys.

Very interesting look at the communication with animals. Pleasant to listen to and it left me interesting questions afterwards. Rick’s humour and the interaction between the podcast’s hosts make it quite fun to listen to. Definitely looking forward to the next episodes!
