What a take
Just listened to their rationale for “not acknowledging” Israel is even in the competition and it’s completely weird. They start off with saying other countries have written songs about wars in their areas, and they’re okay with that, but Israel is doing it too, and that they’re not okay when it’s Israel doing it. Then they say that the government got involved and asked for the song to be about the conflict, and when the government pulled back and said they didn’t want the songwriters to follow their instructions, it was also government interference. So either way, they’re looking for an excuse to exclude Israel it seems. That, plus the song as submitted has nothing to do at all about what’s going on in Gaza and their incredible bias is showing. It’s not that they hate Jews, just half the Jews in the world who live in Israel that they seem to have a problem with. I wonder if they have that stance about any other group in the world. More reviews of Eurovangelists
