Evergreen CEO, Michael DeAloia recites the poem, "I Hear America Singing" by the American poet Walt Whitman, first published in the 1860 edition of his book Leaves of Grass. Though the poem was written on the eve of the Civil War, it presents a vision of America as a harmonious community and brings the true spirit of America to the forefront of our trying times.

This episode of Cheer, we are celebrating Father’s Day by interviewing the experts. We talked to several kids (ages 2-15), who shared their favorite jokes and stories about their dads. In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, one of the biggest drinking holidays, producer Sarah Willgrube brings you a drunk rendition of the story of Ireland's patron saint, St. Patrick and the myth of how he rid Ireland of snakes. This year our Production Director, Brigid Coyne, worked with the Kindergarten students from Padre Pio Academy to record their Christmas pageant performance. With this adorable rendition of "Friendly Beasts" by Charlie and Ira Louvin, the students will melt your heart. Enjoy!

Every December, in a small city in Sweden, a pair of giant straw goats goes up in the city square and the rest of the world waits to see when and how they will be destroyed. This is the story of the Gävle Goat, told by Producer, Isabel Robertson.

Producer, Julie Fink (a.k.a. Big Jingles) conducts a live broadcast from the North Pole with two of Santa’s top Christmas elves (Audio Director, Dave Douglas & Production Director, Brigid Coyne) as they read some colorful, imaginative (and often hostile) letters to Santa Claus written by real children from all over the world. Account Manager, Conor Standish, brings us a beautiful rendition of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas” accompanied by his very own band, The Front Porch Lights.   The song was originally written by Hugh Martin and Ralph Blane, and first performed by Judy Garland.    Credit to Front Porch Lights for performing and to Greg David of Sequence Music for recording and mixing the song.

From the 1974 stop motion animated television special, The Year Without a Santa Claus, comes this dazzling rendition of “The Snow Miser & Heat Miser” song. CEO, Michael DeAloia (Heat Miser) teams up with Chief Creative Officer, David Moss (Snow Miser) and are joined by Audio Director, Dave Douglas and Account Manager, Conor Standish for a sprightly background vocal performance... luckily three fourths of this Christmas quartet happen to be professional musicians!
