I can’t overstate how much I appreciate Everyday Māori. I learn something useful in every episode, even those where I assume I’m already going to know what’s being covered. Love your work, Hēmi and Āpera.

I love this. I’ve just started learning & I’m doing it on my own, with a variety of sources, & this is a particularly helpful resource. It works well with the other lessons I’m working through & while I still have no idea what I’m doing, this is a brilliant addition. Thank you for...Read full review »

Top ratings. A group of us who meet informally - a self help group in Whanganui-a-Tara use your programme each week & find it really useful. What is really great is the notes. This is a great addition. Thank you a Hemi me Apira. Ka mau te wehi.

I’ve enjoyed the last two seasons. I’m only at the beginning of my reo journey. But I love Hēmi’s chill style of teaching and I find it very accessible and clear. And I find it only got better with the addition of Āpera. Good job! Patariki Ormsby

I would love to listen to this podcast to improve my Te Reo Māori but the recording volume is so low and the presenters voice so muted that even on the highest volume I can’t make out what is being said.

I am wanting so much to learn a little bit of how to speak Maori before I visit Aotearoa. This podcast has been a huge blessing.

Ko te konae ipurangi nei te mutunga kē mai o te pai. He ngawari te whakarongo, he ngahau hoki.

I love this podcast! The episodes are short but contain just enough info to help me learn an expression or grammar point. Useful for revision too. Ngā mihi nui ki a kōrua!

Loving going through the back catalogue. The content is both a refresher as well as extending my knowledge a little bit! Mauri Ora!

I've only just discovered this podcast and it is really well pitched. I hope they're going to be more. It is a good way to revise aspects of learning this language and it is far clearer than other resources I've tried.Read full review »

Covers the grammar, native speaker level pronunciation, and that pesky “but what about the different dialects” issue that sometimes pops up in Te reo māori language discussions. I need to repeat each podcast a few times though!

This podcast is awesome! Thank you so much for taking time to teach us what you know! I’m a Maori and I’ve wanted to learn for the longest time. But not able to fit classes into my schedule, this is awesome because I can learn in my own space and time. Kia Ora e hoa.

Loving this podcast, especially breaking down the grammar which I didn’t learn at School. My only feedback is to see if future episodes could have higher sound levels as am struggling to hear while on the bus. Please keep it up - love your work!! I am so proud to have returned to NZ and found...Read full review »

Don’t let the other review put you off, that person must have been having a bad day...Simple, easy to understand and you get to learn everyday words and phrases quickly. I also enjoy the interviews a lot. I start every morning listening to an episode so I can practise throughout the day. Thank...Read full review »

Kinda lost me when your “welcome” episode was a thirty second ad, ten seconds of welcome and then forty five seconds of ads to finish. 🤷‍♂️ Like cool idea but that’s a real switch off out of the gate to new listeners.
