It is so important that this story is told, and Timothy Sawa and his team do a great job at telling it, with care and compassion for the survivors. It is also good to hear their uncensored voices. I hope there are follow up episodes. The story isn’t over yet.

I really enjoyed Timothy Sawa’s reporting in this story. It was tragic and eye opening, but very well researched with excellent first hand accounts. I really hope to see some update episodes now that this case is making its way through Canadian courts and abroad.

This was a thorough, well-researched podcast that kept me interested. I hope the podcast creators will keep us updated on the criminal proceedings against Nygard!

Timothy Sawa does an amazing job explaining the full story. The interviews by victims and Kai were difficult to hear.

Richette acted like the other girls deserved this, or we’re not church people? She was ok till it almost happened to her sister. Even then it did not give her any compassion. Ahe could have been saving her money for the last 5 years to get out.. with her own jeep! Then it happened to her? She...Read full review »

Heartbreaking story and infuriating that this went on for SO LONG. And I can’t believe this Suelyn person has 3+ million followers on IG. Disgusting. If these people only knew….

I can’t believe I was so oblivious to the evil committed by Peter Nygard. Congratulations to Timothy Sawa, CBC and those who’ve spoken up for your bravery and commitment in exposing this monster.

There are so many Canadians who have no idea this happened right here in Canada. This evil went on for too long. We all need to do better and support victims of this kind of crime.

This was amazingly done! Such a terribly heartbreaking story! Listening to these ladies tell their stories just absolutely breaks my heart. But listening to his son…maybe it’s because of my own daddy issues…I literally cried the entire episode. “He didn’t have skeletons in his closet. He had a...Read full review »

I can’t believe this story wasn’t worldwide news like the other cases that happened around the same time. Such a horrible story and this telling was so well made!

Horrifying story but very well investigated and presented.

The reporting is good and I appreciate the reporters voice. I am questioning the reporting of the transgender murders as “stop the presses “ news when you consider the on-going violence against women that isn’t news. Each death is a loss but I find the eclipse of news about women in our current...Read full review »

This is a compelling and complex story spanning the world over 40 years. Well done! I could not stop listening. The victims bravery came through despite the pain, humiliation and powerful systems in place to intimidate, shut them up and shut them down. These stories are painful and raw. Always good information from wondery, just facts, lots of them, and a long standing story, insane. Binged it of course.

The journalist and contributors praise the bravery of the victims and so do I. But also the incredible journalistic tenacity, determination and grit in the face of such extreme harassment and intimidation over so many years to expose the truth. This podcast is incredible! Many thanks to the creators for their efforts, research, and quest for justice for victims of Peter Nygard. This story is not as known as other cases, but hopefully this amazing podcast will help get the word out. Again, many thanks to the creators.

This looked like an interesting podcast, but the sound of the audio, the choppiness in voices (that sounded like robots) were a turn off. I’ve liked many other CBC podcasts but not this one.

I am a daily listener of podcasts and a nonfiction podcast snob, consistently on the look out for the best produced content only (75% true crime). I binged all episodes of “Murder by Design” in less than 24 hours. I cannot believe I didn’t come across it sooner. Incredibly well edited, gripping...Read full review »

Thank you to CBC and all involved in bringing us this story in a manner that is respectful to survivors. Great story telling without over dramatization. It is not an easy subject matter to tackle (not to mention the risks to personal freedom or harm to some) but it is dealt with very well.
