This is the kind of stuff that is a real treasure to find. Educational, but entertaining. Easy to understand and relevant for people just learning about, or even those that have studied evolution for years. Well done Rick!!

The distracting background music and often repetitive/vague style of delivery make it difficult to enjoy the material.

I love the podcast. Great stuff. I am an evolutionary anthropologist. I would love to hear more women speakers on here! There are so many excellent women in science.

Evolution Talk is a fantastic podcast on one of the most important scientific theories of all time. Each episode is short but contains a wealth of knowledge. The show explains evolution in a way that everyone can understand and not only looks at the science of evolution (from genes to how music...Read full review »

I think I did not miss any of the episodes of this fine series of episodes about evolution in the broadest sense. Not only deals the podcast with the various aspects of the theory of evolution, but also to all the people, who playeda role in it. The last episode, about Mary Anning, was brilliant...Read full review »

I'd love to give this podcast 5 stars, but the presenter's grammar goofs cannot be swept under the rug. The main complaint I have is that he says things like "to you and I" and "involving you and I." Apparently, some misguided teacher convinced him to banish "me" from his vocabulary! News...Read full review »

.. but I do enjoy this podcast. Coste is not an evolutionary biologist—just a regular guy doing his best to explain things to other regular persons in terms that are easily understood. As an evolutionary biologist I find a maddening stumble from time to time, but in my car no one can hear me...Read full review »

Evolution Talk is one of the best podcasts that I’m listening to now. I would also highly recommend Rick’s previous podcast Philosophy Walk to anyone interested in philosophy.

This podcast enjoyably fills a void in the science genre. How about adding some interviews with scientists? Would also enjoy hearing about the "news" in evolution today. Thanks for doing this.

This is a great podcast for those who are on the go but want to learn more in-depth about evolution. It never gets too heady to understand and the shorter length of the episodes doesn't make it feel overwhelming. The podcast also does a magnificent job teaching the history behind many of the...Read full review »

I love it. I found this podcast last week, and just love it. Fascinating topics and stories. It reminds me of The memory palace, but about Evolution; and i love the Memory Palace. The Strange Case of Richard Owen might be my favorite episode so far.

I had a 4 hour drive ahead of me so I searched for potentially interesting podcasts. I found evolution talk and downloaded 10 episodes. I was hooked, I pulled over and downloaded 20 more. This is a short and sweet podcast that is really beginning to hit it's stride. Expands meaningfully on evolution and related concepts, and never overstays it's welcome - it's always just enough. Definitely one of my favorites!

I grew up christian and was discouraged from learning about learning about evolution. I am such a total animal that it interests me to know how I am related to the other animals! This podcast is superb! Rick Coste explains clearly and concisely about evolution and the major players in the field. I only wish the episodes were longer (and a bit more in depth). Although I studied the field, I learn new things each time. Well done!
