“In the interests of full disclosure, Mr. Kevin Kruse quotes me on page 204 of his book as one of the "straight A" students. (I got 29 A's and 3 A-'s at Harvard.)
The book and the podcast hit home the idea that you have 1440 minutes in a day. I have already used that line with a colleague who wanted my time. I take Mr. Kruse's advice that one should hire others to do certain jobs: For example, I need to translate a math paper written in German. I could translate it myself, but following Mr. Kruse's advice, I'll just pay someone to do it.
I also follow his advice to avoid email and other distractions the first two hours of the day, when one is most alert---and I drink lots of water. (I was already doing that following Molly Shattuck's advice.)”Read full review »
